I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer! It’s hard to believe it’s almost over … and right around the corner is our 3rd annual CET Designer User Conference!

Once again, we’re holding the conference at The Venetian/Palazzo in Las Vegas – a great space for us to learn, network, relax and take in the Vegas sites.

If you haven’t registered for the conference yet, please do so soon – space is limited to 75 user attendees, and seats are filling up fast. See the article below for all the conference/registration information.

Congratulations to...

...the winners of two contests for free trips to the 3rd annual CET Designer User Conference (Sept. 28-30) at The Venetian/Palazzo in Las Vegas this fall.

Candice Young, a designer with Peninsula Business Interiors, a Steelcase dealer in Fresno, Calif., won the first drawing in Configura’s social media contest. CET Designer users entered by posting a comment about the software on a Facebook Fan Page and/or Tweeting a comment about CET Designer.

Jennifer Franklin, a senior interior designer with Business Furnishings, a Steelcase dealer in South Bend, Ind., won the second free trip in a drawing held on June 16 during NeoCon.

Young and Franklin will receive a free hotel stay and airfare to the conference. The conference itself is free to all CET Designer users.

Welcome to Branden Bouwkamp!

If you use the CET Designer Help Desk, you’ve probably chatted with Branden Bouwkamp by now.

Branden joined Configura this spring as a new CET Designer Support Analyst, taking Justin Hammond’s place (Justin’s returned to his programming roots at Configura).

Working out of the same Grand Rapids, Michigan, Training & Support office as the rest of the U.S.-based support team, Branden is here to help with your CET questions.

“Supporting CET Designer users with a wide variety of issues is rewarding – I enjoy being a part of the CET team,” Branden said. “Working at Configura has been great.”

Branden grew up in Grand Rapids, spent a few years in Florida and now resides in the West Michigan suburb of Rockford. For the past 10 years, he’s worked in the computer field; previous positions included Technical Support Supervisor at Triton Technologies and CFMC Programmer at Barnes Research.

Branden has two Boston Terriers and is a member of Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue. Branden adopted one of his terriers, Tobie, a rescue dog, who’s missing a leg; he’s providing foster care for the other terrier until she’s adopted.

In his free time, Branden enjoys bicycling on West Michigan’s White Pine Trail, disc golfing with Tobie, playing German board games like Agricola and Le Havre, and watching the Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball team.

I just wanted to send a quick note. I love the new features that have been added to smart tools, and I haven’t even gotten to all of them. The Frame Side Types was exactly what I was looking for, along with the pick list free form with multiple lines.

Good morning,
Can I just tell you how much I love several of the new features in this update? I was checking out paper space, and absolutely love the new options across the top bar with paper size, DPI, Titleblock, etc! That was all for now, I just thought you might like a quick pat on the back since we seem to only call when we are in crisis mode. Thank you for making this product even more awesome!
